LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT COURSES

1. Communication and Listening - This course explores our preferred communication and listening styles. Participants learn when to use the different styles through a series of interactive exercises, case studies, assessments and appreciative inquiry.

2. Resolving Conflict In A Way That Honors The Relationship - Participants learn techniques for resolving conflict in a ways that preserve working relationships. Participants will learn through self-assessment and other interactive exercises, their preferred style of dealing with conflict, how to avoid negative styles of conflict resolution and how to turn conflict into collaboration that builds relationships, instead of destroying relationships.

3. Generations - This course explores a unique situation that has never occurred before in our history. For the first time ever, we have five generations in the workforce and in the church. This course helps participants to appreciate what events, people, technology and values and beliefs influenced people of different generations and how to send messages that resonant with people from all five generations. The course will also explore tips for getting along and how to build effective relationships with people of different generations.

4. Leadership Principles - This course explores leadership qualities, key leadership skills, how to lead and manage people effectively, solve problems, decision making, delegating, conducting effective meetings, coaching and mentoring others and dealing with difficult personalities.

5. Teambuilding - This course covers the four stages of teambuilding and through a number of self-assessments, interactive activities, participants will experience each stage of teambuilding and what it means to be a team-player.

6. Emotional Intelligence - This course, examines the four components of emotional intelligence: Self-Awareness, Self-Regulation, Self-Motivation, Empathy, and Effective Relationships and how leaders who develop these qualities can become effective leaders in ministry.

7. Understanding People and Personalities - This course explores the physical, social-emotional, cognitive and spiritual hurdles every person must negotiate at different stages of life from pre-natal to seasoned citizens to become all that God has called us to be. Using the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory, participants will gain insight into why they act the way they do and gain an appreciation for personality types that are different from theirs and tips for working with different personalities in a way that honors God.

8. Conducting Engaging Meetings - This course explores what makes for a good meeting and why people hate meetings. Participants will learn that good meetings don’t just happen they are planned. Participants will learn how to plan an agenda, develop ground rules to keep the meeting on track, deal effectively with meeting monsters, and how to engage meeting attendees.

​

9. Problem Solving and Decision Making - This course explores basic and advanced problem solving and decision making techniques. Participants will learn about problem solving models and tools, how to involve ministry members in the problem solving process, evaluating options, risk evaluation, making the decision and following up to see if the selected solution is achieving desired results.

10. Mission and Visioning - This flagship course helps ministry leaders to evaluate how their ministry is contributing to the mission of the church and advancing the vision of the Pastor for the church. One of the major outcomes of this course is to eliminate activities that don’t contribute to the mission and vision of the church.

BECOMING ONE FLESH MARRIAGE COURSES

1. Building Your Marriage - This course covers: overcoming isolation, creating oneness in
marriage, receiving your mate, constructing a relationship leaving parents, cleaving to each other, and becoming one flesh, and biblical responsibilities of the husband and wife.

2. Communication In Marriage - Participants learn techniques for resolving conflict in a way
that preserves working relationships. Participants will learn through self-assessment and other interactive exercises, their preferred style of dealing with conflict, how to avoid negative styles of conflict resolution and how to turn conflict into collaboration that builds relationships, instead of destroying relationships.

3. Resolving Conflict In Marriage – Conflict is inevitable in marriage and this course covers the following areas: recognizing conflict in marriage, transparency, listening, confronting, forgiving, and exchanging a blessing for an insult. Each topic provides couples with tools to resolve conflict in a way that honors the relationship and God.
​
4. Overcoming Stress in Your Marriage - Participants will identify stressors in their marriage,
coping with a hurried lifestyle, how to put work in its place, dealing with money matters, stress from family relationships, and coping with stress from hardships.
​
5. Building Your Mate’s Self-Esteem -This course helps couples to strengthen self-esteem, to unconditionally accept their mate, put the past in perspective and how to plant positive words, giving freedom to your mate to fail to success, how to keep life manageable, and valuing your mate.
